A vast variety of wines exists, whether in the Languedoc region, across France or around the world, making choice so very difficult! Nevertheless, such choice should not be made irrationally. Price can indeed be a prime factor, although the range proposed today spans all price levels. Then comes help on choosing the type of wine (red, white or rosé) in accordance with the food being served, as well as on the vintage, its geographical origin and the grapes involved. We must also bear in mind that there are many ways of purchasing wine: private cellars, wine merchants, mass marketing, mail order, etc., which, we must admit, do not help the buying decision.
